Seamus and Louise Hi my name is Louise Reader, I`m a 13 year old girl who would do anything for her 2 beloved ponies. I go to Avondale College and live out in Waitakere.

My story about Bj and Shamus, my ponies.

I`ve been riding for around 7 years now, and June last year I finally got a pony. I`d had many scary moments in my life that involves horses, but none as scary as the one I`m about to tell. It was sometime in May, and I was finally going to try out my little grey pony Seamus. He lived at a racing stables where he was spoilt rotten. I groomed hinm and saddled him up, and then came the best part, riding him. Being a racing stables they had their own race track, great I thought. But to my surprise it wasn`t all that great at all. He galloped around with me on his back at full speed. It was the most scariest thing of all. In the past I`d been bucked off, kicked and anything else you could think of, but never bolted on. Never the less we still bought him, and I`ll never regret it. Louise jumping Seamus

Unfortunately my first season on him has finally ended. And it could even be my last. I`ve won over 5 champion placings with him and am now having to compete in open level with him.

My sister now needs a pony for pony for pony club because her other one got too old. We went out to South Auckland to go and have a look at a 14hh gelding for me. He was slighty smaller, but is a handful. I`ve only had him a month and he`s already improving. Bj He`s learnt how to halt when asked, walk and trot on the bit, and we`ve established that trotting poles aren`t for galloping over. Hopefully Bj will learn enough so that I can prove to everyone that he`s just as good as Seamus at pony club. I`m still under threat that he`ll be taken away from me. I feel that he`s the one that I want to ride.

Hopefully all you people out there will agree with me that what feels right for you is what matters, and not an expensive pony that your father thinks will make you look good. It`s your own choice.
