Easterley is well known for its beautiful native bush garden. Angelic ponds, sculptures by well known artists and unusual garden statues can be enjoyed while walking the winding paths. High up on the hill is the gallery which displays a wide selection of fine paintings, pottery, kauri woodwork, jewellery, exquisite handknits, weaving, felting and more. The arts and crafts are by leading New Zealand artists and of outstanding quality. The Easterley is frequented by visitors from all over the world.A wonderful place to relax and find that unique New Zealand gift. Easterley and its magic garden was taken over by Henriette & Ian in 1998. They moved from Malibu, California attracted by Coromandel's beauty. "It felt it was time to make a major life-style change and to live in harmony with nature." Homestay is possible by special arrangement. Tairua is a resort town on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. |
